Adaptable Chocolate Box Packaging
The brief required us to produce a single carton that could, in some way, be adapted to hold either a large or medium-sized plastic tray. The bigger size would hold three pieces of luxury chocolate, while the smaller would hold two. Only the widths of these trays were different, so, to solve this problem, we created optional pop-out hinges on each design’s long edge, which, once reverse folded, made the width of the channel thinner in order for the products to fit.
This one-size-fits-all pack would allow the finishers to assemble the carton according to the customer’s order, while only needing to manufacture and manage a single design. A plastic sleeve was also made to securely bring together the whole package.
