The artist The Dealer asked me to create an identity for use on CD and iTunes artwork. The two lines above and below the type—in combination with the three arms of the Es—are meant to subtly represent the five lines of a music stave.
The isotype version is a subtle combination of a ‘T’ and a ‘D’. This same icon camouflages itself as the ‘D’ within the full version.
My logo was passed on to Universal Publishing, who dealt with the outsourcing of artwork, and was subsequently passed on to Creative Spark
, Manchester, who have since created first-rate LP graphics with my design.
